Wacom girl art used to demo the Cintiq 13HD[/caption]
Just a quick update – I've just returned from a fantastic three-day stint at MCM Comic Con London!
The event took place from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th May 2014, and I was there working with Wacom, demonstrating digital painting techniques and artwork on their latest graphics tablets. It was great meeting so many people interested in digital art and showing what can be achieved with the right tools and a bit of practice.
First time at Comic Con
This was actually my first time attending an MCM event, and I hadn't quite appreciated just how enormous it is! The halls were packed with artists, cosplayers, gamers, comic fans and exhibitors, creating an amazing atmosphere throughout the weekend. Even though I was working for most of the show and didn't get much opportunity to explore everything properly, I still managed to chat with lots of talented artists, meet plenty of friendly visitors, and have a play with some impressive new technology.
Hopefully this won't be my last visit. I'd love to return with Wacom in the future, or perhaps even have my own stand in the Artist Alley next time around. It would be great to showcase some of my own artwork and books alongside all the other talented creators.
If you stopped by the Wacom stand to say hello over the weekend, thanks for coming over—it was great meeting you!
