Senku Ishigami – the central character in the manga and anime series “Dr. Stone”. The story begins in the year 2019, where the petrification event occurs, and humanity remains encased in stone for 3,700 years. In April 5738, Senku awakens to a world where time has stood still, and all traces of human civilization have crumbled into ruins. Despite the desolation, Senku’s inquisitive mind and scientific prowess remain intact, setting the stage for an extraordinary journey.

Senku quickly establishes himself as a resourceful and ambitious individual. His primary goal becomes unravelling the secrets of the petrification and finding a way to revive the entire human race. Using his encyclopedic knowledge of science, Senku sets up a base camp and begins studying the petrified humans, dissecting their composition and analysing the peculiar event that has altered the course of human history.

In the course of his solitary exploration, Senku makes a ground-breaking discovery—nitric acid is the key ingredient to reviving petrified individuals. This revelation sets the stage for the development of a revival compound, allowing Senku and his newfound companion, Taiju Oki, to bring others back to life. Their first revival is Yuzuriha Ogawa, a fellow high school student and Senku’s friend.

The unfolding narrative introduces Tsukasa Shishio, a martial artist and another survivor of the petrification. However, Tsukasa’s vision for the new world sharply contrasts with Senku’s. He believes that the old world was tainted and should not be restored. Instead, Tsukasa advocates for a society based on strength and power, aiming to establish a new world order by destroying petrified adults to prevent them from interfering with his vision.

As tensions rise, Tsukasa attempts to eliminate Senku when he realizes that Senku possesses knowledge of weapons that could challenge his newfound dominance. Despite the brutal encounter, Senku survives and decides to pursue a different path. Instead of facing Tsukasa directly, he discovers a tribe of people already living in the Stone World.

Senku seizes the opportunity to introduce these people to the wonders of science, believing that knowledge and innovation can lead to a better and more sustainable civilization. Initially met with scepticism, Senku gradually gains the trust of the tribe and begins to build the Kingdom of Science, a community dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and technological advancement.

As the Kingdom of Science thrives, Senku uncovers a revelation about his own past. The tribe he encounters was founded by his adoptive father, Byakuya, and five other astronauts who survived the petrification event by being in the International Space Station at the time.
